| Rivendell was founded in the year 7 O.U.E. (Overthrown Uprising Era), seven years after the lorfae began to fight the demon horde for control of the continents of Greater, Lesser, and Divide. Rivendell was founded after the final battle between the allied armies of the lorfae, dwarves, and goblins against the demon horde. Sitting upon the Cliffs of Judgement, the final battleground, the leaders of the army saw that the area had a natural cresent harbor. Believing this was the launching point for the demon horde into the continents, the leaders believed that a way point to keep watch of other attacks was needed. So, after a quick council, the standing armies of the three allies began work on the palace-fortress and the walls surrounding the city, which would run down the southern coast fifteen miles, and up the western coast some twenty miles. The army, being close to four million, worked quick to bring the fortress, barracks, and armorments to the beginning city. Over the course of many eras the city took on the job of being the watch dog over the demon horde. As the eras, centries, and wars passed, the city grew stronger and become more and more important. As it stands, Rivendell has the second largest military, along with the largest navy, as well as being the third oldest city in all of Demigora.

| As it stands now, Queen Aphrael rules over Rivendell, her armies ever vigilant to watch the horizon towards the dawn line. The city is a massive trade center, mainly for weapons and defenses, but it does hold many other things. It has a strong alliance to Val'Dariah on Greater and Ularius on Lesser. Queen Aphrael has total control of her city so long as there is no war. Having seen three thousand years of peace, one would wonder how long her rule will stay peaceful. When will the demon horde strike next?

| A giant fortress with six defensive wall structures all around. Carved from a 'pillar' of dark granite, the palace is one giant mountain of itself, with thousands of carved rooms holding everything from the servants quarters to the hidden portal room that connects directly to Val'Dariah and Ularius.

| Second only to the palace in size, the millitary barracks sits just outside the walls of the fortress like palace, facing the south so that the generals can keep watch of the horizon. With towers half the size of the palace's, with many different battaries to defend itself and the city, the barracks can strike down most forces without much problem. Housing both sky knights and ground troops, some five million soldiers and ten million animals alone call the barracks home.

| The training grounds take up five square miles within the city, just so that the military can have room to train it's many recruits. Hazardous to the citizens of Cresent Icebreak, guards are constantly stationed around the massive walls housing the grounds.

| Surrounding the palace, barracks, and training grounds is the Grand Market. Most things within the market are for military wants, but it is so large that one can find anything they need, so long as they are willing to look.

| The city would not have survived without having the sorcerors, alchemists, mages, and sages of the people to help with combatting the demon hordes own shamans and magics. Standing out of the city, this tall orb structured building overlooks the fields to the north, while keeping the walls to the west in their clear sight.

| The Grand Hall is for dignitaries and the city representatives to gather to discuss laws, trades, rights, alliances, and war. It is also where the Grand High Regent sits, awaiting his or her time for the next war to come with the demon horde.

| Even though the city is a military one, even the poor need a place to stay. Not as big as many other city slums, the black market is usually the main attraction to such a dangerous part of the city.

| As in with most cities, there is an active Guild Hall that those factions must register in order to be considered legal when they take on contracts. Though the laws are slightly different here then any other continent. Some say stricter, those not in prison say alot looser.

| The outer part of the district is usually for the rich merchants and the farmers that work the fields. Those that aren't part of the military live in these districts. Here there are shops and venues for the families of those living here.

| There is only one way in and out of the harbor and that is through the gates. Huge towers and barracks line the gate walkway, while powerful motors drive the gates open. Standing over fifty feet tall, any ship can easily pass under, so long as they have permission.

| Most of the avaliable area is under control of the Navy, though they have loosened up control of some of the waterfront over the last few centries. Here is where the naval acadamy and docking areas are located.

| It took a long time to get any kind of trading guild down on the docks, but when the merchants threatened to strike, leave, and burn their shops, a compremise was made. Of course along with that compemise was that they now were left to defend themselves whenever the city was attacked. The price to make money. Untested so far.

| This garden has the names of those who had defended the old Rivendell. The queen lays flowers here to remember what she failed to do and to remember the way it used to be.

| This college, though not as grand as the one that houses all the wielders, is for those that wish to study other things besides the military. They offer everything from gardening to metalurgy.

| Every city needs a warehouse district in order to survive. Where else would goods go to be held for when needed?

| Farmland as far as the eye could see. How else would they be able to support the military and citizens? Not everyone likes sea food, and it would be too costly to import from other countries and continents.

| The largest park upon the continent, this site was once the desiding battle front of one of the largest wars with the demon horde. Many monuments and status are here to honor those that fought and died defeating the demons that almost took over the city.
