Healing a guest

Aphrael ordered the men to lay him on his stomach so she can look over the wound. She is a healer after all and she will do all can to save him. She orders everyone away to get the wards back up for now. She sits by him and waits for him to awaken. "Sir can you hear me? I am the Queen Aphrael of this realm." She cleans the wound still waiting with a worried look on her tired face. "Please let this man be alright" she beg the gods. She closes her eyes and senses his heartbeat to check if he is still with her.

Stirring a bit as Aion comes to jumping to his feet he looks around wide eyed looking at Aphrael. "Where am I" his voice strong and stern as he looks around at all the guards his hood falls off revealing his black horns upon his head. The pain in his back shoots though him as he falls to one knee. Patting his pocket he made sure what matters the most to him was still there. " Where is my bag?" he would ask.

Aphrael had already ordered the guards to stand down and to leave the room. "You are in a guest room of my palace" she replied to his question. She guides him back to the bed before working on the wound once more. "You are spirited demon but a cute one at that" she would laugh at her own words. "So whats your name stranger?" she asks.

"Aion is my name" he would reply as she worked to heal him. "I thank you for the treatment but I must be leaving soon your Majesty I must continue on my travels." Still laying there thinking for a moment he would then ask her "May I inquire as to how to receive safe passage to the edges of your kingdom? I wish not to battle anyone as I am passing through."

"You have my word you are safe in this realm Lord Aion" Aphrael replied. She never met anyone like him before and she might never will again. Her hair falls into her eyes as she finishes her work. "Where are you headed?" Aphrael is very curious now of where he is headed and why. She sits back "done" is all she said with her head lowered.

Sitting up looking at Aphrael , "Thank you once again for healing me my lady." Aion would think for a moment then reply, " I am not heading any where special I am on a 100 year travel to train and learn about the world outside the shadow kingdom." Looking down at the floor Aion would once again ask "Where is my bag?"

"Your things is in that chair by the bed" she replied. Aphrael then smiles a bit at him before getting to her feet. She does not wear any kind of shoes she never did like them they hurt her feet. "You are welcome to stay here for a while if you want" she says in a soft tone.

Reaching for his bag he goes through it and finds a bag of golden coins standing handing them to Aphrael. "I would like to pay you for treating my wounds, also thank you for the invitation to stay here." Standing heading for the door he would pause for a moment then turn back to Aphrael and ask, "Is there a blacksmith in this town that is able to forge powerful weapons?"

Aphrael blinks her bluish-silver eyes at the gold coins. "Whats this for?" she asks as she sits down with the coins in her hands. She is very confused by his actions. Aphrael sensed something from him. She knew something is off but she didn't know what. "Why do I sense something off you that belongs to my daughters?"

A look of confusion overtakes his face, "You're daughters?" he would question her fully knowing what she was speaking of having rescued the two girls several years past and allowing them to live in his kingdom while they figured out a way to come home. "This is my first time in Rivendell." he would look deep into Aphrael's eyes his gaze would change to a stern and harsh look.

"The twin girls of mine Gina and Mina" she had worried she had lost them for good. Aphrael looked a bit frighten of him now when he gave her that look. "I will be glad to give you a tour of my grand city my lord" her voice sound shakely as she sat there staring back into his eyes. She wondered where the girls are now and how they are doing.

Standing walking to Aphrael reaching into his pocket pulling out the item that he had held close to him for several years handing Aphrael the photo of the twin girls both grown into young women."Your daughters are in the shadow kingdom. They have been there for several years now. Since the attack on your kingdom, I found them wondering in the woods when they where attacked. I allowed them to stay there while they searched for a way to return here to Rivendell."

"You can continue to watch over them since you took so good care of them" that picture have brought a smile to her face. No one had seen true emotion from her as she stood up to kiss him on the cheek. "What have they told you about me and this realm?" she needed to know about this.

Smiling at Aphrael "They have not told me much about this realm to speak the truth. They where young when I found the girls. They have not spoken much about you because they did not know what had happened to you." Looking deep in to her eyes, "How come you have not come looking for them? If you can sense them on me then you should surely of sensed them. My Kingdom is only 10,000 miles from here. As far as I am from there I can sense them."

"My power is limited Lord Aion" she simply says as she turns her head away. Aphrael wanted to look for them but she was told not to leave the kingdom. Tears started to roll down her cheeks as she turns away from him embrassed by this. Her heart skipped a beat knowing they are safer where they are. "You must have heard of the demon wars that happened here"

"I heard about them my lady." he would turn away knowing he had hurt her feelings turning back around "Your daughters have never stopped hoping that you would come one day and bring them home. If you would like after my travels I will personally escort both your daughters home and guaranteeing they safety with my life." Place a hand on her shoulder as he said this to calm her emotions and let her know that the twins where safe and that they wanted nothing more than to be here with their mother.

"I will feel better to see them my lord but I also feel that you are fated to guard over them for me" she replied calmly. She wipes her tears away with a single smile to him. He had calmed her fears, he had told her what she wanted to know about them. "Are they behaving?" she knew would be the handful out of the two.

"Behaving?" His laughter echoed in the halls his thoughts on Gina thinking of some of the pranks that she had pulled. "They are a hand full however they are both good and strong." His expression turned to one of sorrow as his thoughts go to Mina, "Mina is a weak girl however she always seems to be getting ill I fear it's my demonic power that is causing it."

"Even my power weakens that child my lord" she smiles then gets up to hug him. "I have gotten a letter from Mina a few weeks back she spoke of a gentle demon king is that you?" her thoughts turned to Algalirept who is their father. That fear he saw earlier returns to her eyes as she looks up at him.

Seeing the fear in her eyes he would smile warmly at her "I am the one that has been taking care of them." Not realizing that her thoughts where on Algalirept,whom he had killed decades back, he would continue, "I have personally taken up the training on both girls so that they may develop their powers Gina is a fast learner but Mina is faster she has mastered some techniques that took me 200 years to learn and she learned them in only a matter of moments."

"What skils is that my lord?" she had been training when she had time but now.... she had to make sure no evil demons unlike him come to this realm. Aphrael could not continue their training not now... She gives him a weak smile but its stressed.

"Like this" summons a ball of black fire into his hand then quickly crushes it. Standing heading to the door. "Well I need a drink. May I buy one for you my lady?" Looking at her smiling.

"A queen never travels to a tavern anymore my lord" she remembers what happened last time she went to one. She was almost killed in an alley way by an unknown attacker.

Smiling at her comment "My lady I will personally protect you." he would say "however if you wish not to go then is there another place where I might get a drink?"

She calls for a guard "get us the finest of the finest drinks and bring them to us." Aphrael smirks then crosses her legs.
