PostSubject: Welcome to the Tavern   Sun Feb 20, 2011 9:11 pm

In his quest to find the ruler of this land, Ace decided it was time to break and rest before he continued. He journeyed down a long road in the middle of the city looking for a place to sleep. The streets were littered with many places to stop and rest. One tavern however... held a familiar scent, as Ace's nose halted him. He smelled the lady he met at the docks and decided that if she were here, it must be a worthy place to rest. So he made his way to the front door.

He walked through the door to be greeted by numerous eyes staring him down. Ace got the feeling that newcomer's were far and wide to this place, and knew his welcome was probably limited. He walked over to the bar and sat down next to a rather robust and large looking man. The man had to be about 7 foot tall and muscles bulged from the clothes that he wore. Sitting next to the man, Ace felt insignificant. He looked around the bar and a charming little waitress appeared out of nowhere and winked at Ace.

"Hi there hon! What can I get fer you this evenin?"

Her voice was absolutely charming and adorable. Ace's body went to ease as her charming aura poured onto his. He blinked a few times and looked up at the abnormally large man beside him. He then looked back at the waitress and said in his calm and persuasive voice:

"Yes. I would like an entire bottle of the city's very own whiskey? This city does produce it's own whiskey right?"

Ace looked to the young female in question and watched her giggle with the most adorable chuckle he had ever heard. She replied back:

"We have many types of whiskey made here in Cresent Icebreak sirruh! Would you like to to start off with something of a lighter potency since it is your first time having our city's liquor?"

The young lady began to reach down for a bottle, and Ace replied:

"That would be very nice, thank you."

The young lady turned over and bent down to get the bottle. Ace's eyes could not stop, but to stare at the waitresses' beautiful body from the backside. Her body was nearly perfect in his opinion. She was not of a skinny sort, but not fat at all. She had what Ace opinionated as the perfect ratio of curve on a woman. The woman leaned down even further and her skirt rode up even higher than before. Ace found his heartbeat starting to quicken and a brush of heat wiped across his face. She then stood back up and looked over at Ace as she walked back before him. She reached down behind the bar and brought a glass before him, only to see Ace's red face and dazed eyes.

"Sir... Sir... Sir......."

She snapped and waved her fingers before his face. Ace finally awoke from the trance of the daydream. He found himself quite embarrassed and snatched the bottle of whiskey and popped the cork. He tipped the bottle up and began to gulp it down. 3/4, Half, 1/4, gone. The waitress stared at him and clapped. All of the people at the bar leaned over the bar with eyes of astonishment. Murmuring took place, and Ace set the bottle down wondering why people were talking about and looking at him so weirdly. The whiskey tasted amazingly smooth, almost like nothing at all. The small talk faded and everybody leaned back once again. Ace sat himself up and looked over to the waitress, who looked like she was dying to say something. She managed to put a clean glass down from wiping it dry and started to talk to Ace again.

"You must be a newcomer. Most people do not just suck down an entire bottle of even our LIGHTEST of whiskeys. I guess i should haavv...ee wa..rr.....nnn.....ed... y..OOuuuu."

Suddenly, Ace's hearing started to fade in and out. In a panic, he stood up and started to look around. As if a performer at a ballet, the entire crowd in the tavern began to laugh in an uproar. He looked around and their faces began to distort as their mouths moved in and out like a scary demon's face. The laughter seemed to slow and speed up, and Ace's vision also began to fade. Ace stumbled around the sitting area of the tavern and pointed at people telling them to shut-up, but not in a language known to anyone. As quickly as it had set, another symptom took over. His muscles began to lose control. Ace immediately fell to the ground and looked up at the world as it started to spin uncontrollably. The panic of this onset caused Ace's heartbeat to pick up uncontrollably, for his mind knew what it wanted to do, but could not control it. His eyes flashed bright blue... and then he fell unconscious.

Splash! The waitress turned over a bucket of water on Ace and he awoke, still seeing a spinning world. When he saw the waitress, his ability to control his respect and manners seemed to have all but disappeared. She seemed to be even more amazingly beautiful and Ace struggled to pull himself up. The waitress, half giggling, half in a mood to make sure Ace was ok, decided to help him back to his seat. She put her arm around him and help him up surprisingly easy. She moved him towards the bar and sat him next to the abnormally large man once again. Ace's head fell to the bar. The waitress resumed her position behind the bar, in front of Ace, poking him to make sure he was ok. Ace's head flew up and there in that moment... everything faded around him except for this waitress. Her beauty now had completely taken him to some fantasy world inside his head. He saw himself kissing her passionately, slowly caressing her every curve. And as he was about to pull the very clothes that kept her lovely secret's from the world... Ace blinked and the fantasy was gone. He was still very woozy, but he felt a sort of self-control coming back. He shook his head around and realized that drunkenness of the alcohol was starting to leave his system. Ace then stood up and nodded to the lady and said to her:

"That... was quite the bottle you gave me there ma'am. I would like to get a room for the night. How much will that cost?"

The young lady giggled and responded in a most seductive way:

"One night with me, is all the payment I need"

She winked at him and Ace's heart dropped, as well as his jaw. Did he really hear what he thought he just heard? He sunk back into the stool and fell over like butter melting. A great heat swept over his body as if he had a fever. The young lady took her shirt off and began wandering around the bar in only a bra. All of the men, stopped from their chatting and began to stare. To Ace's surprise, she only looked at him. She hopped up on the bar-top and began to tantalize Ace with her exotic charms. Ace... like a fly to a spider's web... found himself with a lap full of the waitress, grinding against his body with hers. Her lips painted his with the most fierce passion he had ever felt before. His body began to tingle and he could feel the emotions pour through his body. All of the hairs on his body stood up straight and tiny bumps began to pop out of his skin. Her breath lined perfectly in sync with his as he continued to kiss and rub on her. Her perfectly silky skin collided with his causing a light friction that sent an impulse to Ace's brain which made him become even more attracted to her. She stopped kissing him and pulled away so both of their noses were barely touching. She stared him in the eyes, and for the first time, he noticed her eyes were of a deep red color. They were beautiful Ace could not stop thinking. This cannot be real he also said to himself over and over again. He closed his eyes once more to feel the passion of her kiss... and when he opened them because she did not lean forward... an unrealistic horror unfolded before Ace's eyes. The woman now... had her mouth open and Ace saw what looked to be a small stream of blue light pouring from his face into her. The sound of an endless scream enveloped his ears and he felt his body growing weaker and weaker. He tried to move, but felt no response from his arms or legs. He attempted to look to others for help, but he could not move his head. She had him locked into place, absorbing his very life essence. Just as Ace felt like he was going to black out... a loud shatter was heard in his ears and the woman flew across the room, crashing into a mirror. Ace regained full consciousness and stood up to see what had happened.

As he stood up... the abnormally large man that had been sitting beside him the entire time was standing in a pose of defense. He was staring in the direction of the now getting up waitress. His muscles were much larger when he was standing in a defensive position than just sitting down Ace observed. Still confused... he scratched the back of his head and asked in a shouting type way:

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?"

The huge man looked over at Ace and quickly looked back to the woman who was now standing up with an angry look in her eye. The large man's voice was very deep, and sounded very boom like when he began to explain:

"What is going on... is that I just saved your life from the likes of her. That woman is what us hunter's like to call a Siren. She possesses abnormal beauty and charm, in hopes to attract a male to feed off of his life force in order for her to stay alive. We have been tracking many missing men over the past month's and they all were heard from or seen here in this tavern. Now if you will excuse me..."

The man was completely interrupted by the Siren who now had latched onto his back and began to glow. As the glow intensified, the hunter fell to one knee as he attempted to reach around and pull her off. Her voice then rung out in a screechy and harsh sound:

"You will never kill me bounty hunter... looks like today you keep me alive."

The blue stream of light began to leave his body and enter hers... as she appeared to keep getting stronger and stronger. The man's muscles began to shrink as his body seemingly grew smaller and smaller the longer she stayed attached to him. Ace... not really wanting to get involved at first... opted to just walk away and hope for the best. He then realized... someone had to do something.

As he prepared for the upcoming battle... something felt wrong. He began to feel weakened once again. To his surprise... her Ruby Red eyes were now peering into the very soul of Ace. He could feel her searching him... and his body soon fell paralyzed to the floor. As he managed to look around... all of the men in the room fell to their knees... one after another. The women however... were unharmed and began to scream. The women began to run for the door and then exited quickly. Ace however... began to feel as though he were being choked. His nose picked up the scent of the woman from the dock and he started to yell:

"HEELLPP UUGHHHHHH HE.... UUUGHHHHH LPPPP"

PostSubject: Re: Welcome to the Tavern   Mon Feb 21, 2011 2:26 am

The waitress whom had given Silver her drink and meal earlier, was now transformed. Watching the room become a panic, and yet weakened from her recent transaction, she drank what was left in the bottle. She had sniffed it before drinking as was her ritual. You never know who wanted nobility dead. She watches as the woman pranced around, enticing men and yet only had eyes for the young one. Many a woman would like to feel younger if they were with a younger man. She rolled her eyes at the sight of such debauchery but had not left as she still needed a room for the night. There was something different about this woman. As she watched their "passionate" kiss, Silver begins to see a light about the woman and then the young man. As the power is passing from the young man, the light dims around him and burns brighter around the woman.
She realizes that something is wrong and stands up to help, but the larger man who seems to know what he is dealing with stands in the way, picking the waitress up and throwing her back behind the bar. Silver watches her body crumple to the floor. Hearing the explanation that the woman is really a siren, she grimaces. She should have known, being by the sea. Only two types of women would prey on men, sirens (also known as lorelie's) and banshees. She watches the small fight as the woman overtakes the bounty hunter and then returns to the young man for her original meal. She couldn't watch as everyone was so helpless. She stands up and looks at the creature feasting on the young man. "Let him go." The woman stops her suckling and looks up at Silver. "What do you want, elf? Are you looking for a differnet kind of .. warm meal? This is of no business of yours. Take your leave. Now." Silver, not really in the mood to be bossed around by some "young" looking artifact, she stands her ground. "Once more, I command you to let . . him . . go." The woman looks at her, red eyes glowing and darkening with anger. "What authority do you have, weary traveler?"
Silver looks at her with more intensity, her lavender eyes glowing, "By the authority of the Queen of Haldain." She removes her hood, her long silver hair cascading down her back in thick waves. A light eminates from her as her temper begins to flare. The siren takes a step back, but then regains her stance and hold on the young man. Just because of some myth, doesn't mean she will miss out on her meal. "Once more, I command you to let him go." With this, her voice deepens and a moment of fright enters the siren's eyes before returning. She was going to keep her prize at all cost. Silver turned more towards the siren, her eyes glowing dark lavender as she raised a hand. A blue orb surrounded by white appears and Silver throws it at the siren, knocking her off the man who lays on the floor. The siren comes back at her, jumping through the bar area. Grabbing Silver by the cloak, the siren throws her to the floor where Silver hits her head and momentarily is knocked out of sorts. Regaining herself, Silver stands up, letting out a yell that sends the siren back against the wall. The room has finally cleared and all that are left is the unconcious young man, and the body of the bounty hunter, as well las the two fighting women. The siren reaches for Silver's throat, her fingers barely touching the back of her neck and she lets out a yelp as her fingers are burnt from the mere touch. As she backs away, she pulls at the brooch at Silver's neck, ripping the cloak from her. "No longer will you hide from your enemies, oh child of Leira and Melin! The child born with silver hair, the curse is still upon you. You will die along with the others." As she says this and draws close to Silver, something glints in the flames of the tavern torches and catches the siren's eyes. They soften into pale pink as she become greedy for it. The jeweled rose. Yes, unseen beauty in anyone who possesses it. She reaches quickly for it, rips it off of Silver's neck in order to put it on her. "Nooooo!" Silver screams out. It was a gift from her mother, hand forged by her father. She feels herself even more drained as she quickly ages. The siren sees her enemy aging, then goes back to drink the lifeforce of the young man. Suddenly, the siren stops, then looks down. A blue swirling light is entering the jeweled rose. She feels herself weaken and realizes that the rose was absorbing her as she had absorbed from so many over the centuries. She tried to take the pendant off but the chain wouldn't break. Slowly and painfully, the siren begins to smoke and burn, her life essence going into the pendant. As she falls to the floor, her screams end and all that is left are her clothes and the pendant. Silver looks to the two men on the floor, seeing them unconcious, and goes to the pendant, hurrying to put it back on before they awaken. Instantly she feels the power surge into her, she feels her face, soft as if she were young and in her parent's castle. She looks to the men on the floor, and goes over to them to see if they are alright. She pours a powder mixture into a bottle with pure crystal water and shakes it. She lifts his head up into her lap and gently pours a few drops of the mixture onto his lips, letting it soak into his body and mouth. She waits until he opens his eyes before moving to the bounty hunter. She hopes that this is the last as she feels weakened herself.

Upon watching all the commotion and ultimate destruction of the Siren... Ace rested his body on the ground and closed his eyes as the lock on himself was released. He let out a huge breath and completely relaxed. He then started to wiggle around a little to make sure he still wasn't being held by her bonds. Ace began to think that if it had gone on much longer, he may have very well had to do the unthinkable to save his hide... but he was rather grateful he did not have to do that. He then instantly thought about the young lady, Silver. She obviously had heard his cry for help and stood against her. After a moment or two of resting he opened his eyes and saw her staring down at him. He smiled lightly and closed his eyes again as she left him for the bounty hunter. He folded his hands behind his head as he still lay on the floor and laughed a little as he called out to Silver:

"I could have taken her you know. I was just trying to be a gentleman and not hit a lady"

He laughed a bit more as if he were actually helpless, although he knew on his werewolf form she would not have been any trouble at all. He waited for a response from her, and as he did so... he began to think about this whole situation.

He pondered about his state of mind, especially since he fell so easily into her trap. Being a lycan, he had certain advantages over other race's that normally allowed him to see right through people, but this was an odd occasion. He began to feel a little... weak. Ace understood that Siren's were the masters of deception, and this first encounter with one most certainly proved it. But falling so deeply into an emotional trance as he did, made Ace ponder about himself. He thought maybe he longed for a companion... or maybe it was just the influence of the Siren. He could not be sure now as he started to ponder about it deeper.

"Hmmmmmm"

He said aloud as he continued to wait for a response from her.

While tending to the bounty hunter who lay unconcious, she pours some of the liquid onto his lips, guiding it into his mouth. He was severely weakened and she lays him back down. Upon the young man's comment, she merely looks up for a moment, chuckling to herself. The young ones think they are invincible, while the older ones just want to be. The woman's words bothered her. The curse was still upon her, she couldn't run from it nor hide. She stands up and walks over to the young man; standing over him, her shadow blending into the shadows of the tavern in the dim lighting. She then kneels down beside him, reaching a hand to help him up. In a small voice, "It was a small test, anyone could have taken her." She smiles faintly, still feeling drained from her earlier trade. She looks down at the pendant and reaches up to lightly touch it. She did not regret her choice as it proved worthy. No one would fight an old woman, but who would accepter her as well? She looks at him, her eyes pale purple, a shade lighter than lavender and her hand open so that he may rise again and steadily to his feet. He was an interesting sort to be sure. She only hopes that he would not get himself into too much trouble too soon.

He took her hand and stood to his feet. Peering over at the bounty hunter, he saw that he was slowly returning to normal and then noticed the bar was in complete shambles. Ace continued to look around the room to notice that it was quite vacant. Not a soul. He scratched his head and called over to the bounty hunter who seemed to be coming around:

"Hey big guy... you alright?"

Ace walked over to the man and knelt down beside Silver, looking at him. He seemed to be ok, just a little woozy from all that had happened. The man sat up and looked between Silver and Ace, turning his head back and forth. Ace was about to ask him some questions but the man opened his mouth and started to rant:

"Thanks. I appreciate the help in taking out that nasty creature. She has been on the wanted list for many years as no one could seem to catch her. She normally would stay out of our radar, until I had just recently heard about disappearances of men last seen in this tavern. As soon as I walked in... I could feel how I was being sucked into her. As I sat at the bar, I tried my hardest to now make it obvious why I was there. Trying to resist the urge of looking at a female that lovely is very hard! But I knew it was for a better good. I was hoping she would get frisky with me, so I could confront her away from these people and kill her. Seems like you initiated that for me. Honestly though... I did not think she would be THAT strong. I have fought many types of demons and creatures... but her powers to control men so easily made me very vulnerable."

The man stood to his feet and brushed himself off. He then looked around and turned his huge body towards the door. He made a small wave sign as he walked away and out the door.

Ace, who was not flabbergasted that he did not get the chance to say anything to the man, looked over at Silver with a rather confused look. He then turned back to the door and the large man was gone. Ace put a hand to the back of his head and started to scratch it.

"Wow! I did not even catch his name. Sheeeeesshhh"

Ace remarked as he closed his eyes and began to walk around the room. As he did so, Silver crossed his mind. Should he say something to her? Should he just walk away and never see her again. She did save him from that terrible Siren. Perhaps it would be cold if he were to just leave. Then he began to pipe up and broaden his chest. In his head he began to tell himself that he were a lycan, and he was cold. He did not show affection or other such things. But the human part of him seemed to be winning over his inner mind battle and he stopped and opening his eyes. He turned to Silver and walked over to her... locking his eyes onto hers. Ace stared at her for a few moments, silently. He then opened his mouth for a brief moment and asked her...

"Is there anything I can do to repay you ms. Silver? I feel as though I owe you for the trouble that has been caused here. You name what it is, and I will attempt to fulfill that request."

Ace crossed his arms over his chest and smiled. But noticed a familiar scent in the air. He immediately put his hands up in a way that said stop and began to speak again. His nose began to twitch and the sound of sniffing filled the room.

"Wait! I smell her. I smell the Queen of the place I used to reside. I must go. I owe you Silver... and anytime you may need me... just whistle!"

As quick as the tavern was destroyed Ace flared from the room... and outside of the tavern a low growl followed by a half aggressive roar echoed for a few moments as Ace was gone.

Stands up, helping the bounty hunter. After he leaves, she looks at the young man who seems to assess her and she has difficulty looking away. There is something strange about him, but she couldn't quite figure it out.

She notices he sniffs the air and assert himself as being strong and brave. She had to inwardly chuckle to herself as she saw the thoughts flash across his face and in his eyes. She smiles softly to help him relax and then he catches a scent and turns to follow it.

After the young man rushes out the door, Silver hears a loud howl in the distance, followed by a low growl. Silver looks about the bar area - empty. She decides to go behind the bar and find the key to one of the rooms as she was still tired.

She finds the key to the corner room, queen sized bed with down feathers, small window, small mirror, a chaise lounge and small bath by the fireplace. A room fit for a princess . . almost. She lays her weapons down on the chaise and climbs into bed. It is comfortable, and she begins to doze off.

A feeling about her makes her unrestless. She tosses and turns, waking up more. She knows she is near, she can feel her. She followed that pull to here, so where was she?

She lies as still as possible but the drums inside her head make her sit up and figure out what was going on. She looks down and pulls out the small flute she was once given so long ago. She examines it as if it was for the first time. She puts it away and sighs.

Standing up, she gathers her weapons and places them in their appropriate spots. She looks about the room for the last time before going down the corridor, through the bar and outside into the night air. She makes her way down the path, hearing howls in the distance. She shivers and brings her cloak tighter around her and hopes that she will soon see whom she had come to see.

On her way down the path, looking down at her feet, hurrying away from the sounds of howling she bumps into someone. Before she could say anything, she quickly looks up and can only utter a small "excuse me sire". Something familiar catches her eye, but as he keeps going, she simply shakes her head and mutters to herself, "So many look alike. It wouldn't be." The night air begins to chill and she brings her cloak tighter around her. In just a few hours, it would be daylight. With a sigh, she returns to the tavern no longer able to sleep but she didn't want to be alone in the forest with all those howls. When she reaches the tavern, the familiar sounds and smells of just a short time before greets her. She pushes the door open and finds her spot in the back corner. Perhaps she could rest a while as the noise drowns out the drums inside her mind. She smiles as it begins to work and she leans against the wall.

Shifting his weight to his left foot. Slightly he sighs before turning his head to the right and looking at Silver. Upon seeing the form of Silver resting against the wall he would smile before speaking softly to her. "Hello Silver it's been a long time since I last saw you."

Hearing the voice, vague but familiar, Silver opens her eyes and looks up at the figure standing before her. For a moment, no words could come out. Could it be? They had only met for a short while before she had been called to finish her journey. She smiles and motions for him to take a seat. "Well, it's nice to know not everyone is a stranger here. Please, sit down, have a drink." She pushes the bottle of wine towards him with a smile. She removes her hood, her long silver hair falling loosely about her shoulders and removes her gloves as her hands were warm from the fire held in the fireplace nearby.

Watching him, she smiles. "It has been a long time, though we only met for a few short moments. I trust your journey has been adventurous, but not too dangerous. Are you here to see your daughter? She has done an excellent job at making her land beautiful." She smiles, remembering her own home, still in a decrepit state and in desperate need of repair and recourse. All in due time, however, all in due time.

She returns her smile and then looks away in thought. "When I saw her last, she was in the garden with a friend from her past. A very charming young man, at least in comparison to my aging years." She lifts her glass to her lips and takes a drink before softly setting it back down on the table.

In the distance, Silver hears a rather racous noise and looks over with a grimace, long enough to see a rather rotund man yell at one of the wenches and tries to give her a sloppy kiss. His face was unshaven and she was sure he hadn't bathed based on the look of the wench's face. She shudders at the thought of him even trying and returns to her half eaten food, pushing the thought away. She heard a loud sound and looked up and saw the man holding his jaw, his face red and eyes looking as if they were to water. Silver couldn't help but to chuckle and commend the wench for her independence. She shakes her head with a smile and finishes her food. Looking to Raider, "Is there something you would like to satiate your hunger? I'm sure you are hungry from your travels. The corned beef stew is good here as well are the truffles and rabbit."

He shakes his head very softly at Silvers words as he watches the large man that was slapped out of the corner of his eye then speaks softly. "No, thank you, I'm really not all that hungry at the moment."

Smiles as he declines and shrugs her shoulders. She finishes up her meal and drink, the food hot and the wine pleasantly sweet running down her throat. She looked about the room, the noise dying down as the drunkards began to pass into their own oblivion. The wench eventually made her way back to the bar where she belonged. After a while, Silver yawns and waves for the wench to return to her table. The woman hurries over and grabs the dishes quickly, making way to run back to the bar and avoid another yet battallion of assualts from the still concious men who couldn't tell their wives from sheep or goats at the moment. Silver was secretly glad that she had her own secret stash behind the counter and she wouldn't have to share with behemouths. When the woman picks up the dishes, Silver pulls out 3 silver coins and hands them to her. "I would like my key now." and the woman nods, carrying the dishes, racing to the bar. Silver notes at how skilled she is to not drop a single scrap of food as she makes her way through the obstacle course of bodily fluids, bodies, and furniture. The woman hurries with the key and Silver looks at Raider, "The night is getting old, and we must rest. Do you have a room or shall I call her back? You have travelled a long ways and must be weary."

He would smile softly while raising right hand and shaking his head softly. "Unfortunately I must be going I have some others that I have to go and see, that is if I can even seem to track them down." He would chuckle softly and slowly stand from his seat offering his hand to help Silver from hers.

Nods, taking his hand and stands upm, drawing her cloak closer. "Whom is it that you seek?" Perhaps she thought to herself that I might know where they are that he is seeking.

He nods his head and smiles some more as he allows his arm to once more rest by his side. "I'm actually looking for Aphrael."

Smiles softly and nods, "I know where she is, come and I will lead you." Offers her arm to him. She draws her hood forward with her free hand, shadowing her face.

She leads him out, arm and arm, of the saloon and down the street. She wraps her cloak about her and leads him to the castle. Upon arriving, the palace guards look at them. She pulls out a silver rose pendant and hands it to one of the guards. "We are here to seek an audience with the Queen. Lady Silver and Lord Raider." She looks at him with a smile from under her hood. The guard looks over the pendant and then at Silver, stepping aside with his head bowed. "Of course, she has been expecting you." With a nod, Silver leads Raider into the throneroom where their daughter sat.

-he smiles softly as he walks with Silver eyes eyes carefully searching about, it was certainly true that much had changed since he had been gone but it was obviously for the better. Looking at the gaurd when they approached the gate he grinned lightly before smiling softly at Silver not even utter a single word at the moment.-
